Le Thoronet Abbey, 7 January 2007

7 January 2007. I met Vlad a week ago. We got acquainted several years ago through a combination of IRC and flickr. We had even met a few times in real life at work in the late 90's. With our mutual friend Guillaume, we visited the cistercian abbey of Le Thoronet, in the Var, which construction lasted from 1170 to 1200.

A wonderful place to sit and read. We did a lot of strolling at a leisurely pace. For 2 hours, we roamed the place, camera in hand, until the light started to fade.
