Edinburgh, 18-23 May 2006

My job took me to Edinburgh for 5 days. We held a W3C meeting there.

I studied English in a college in Edinburgh in 1996. I was delighted to have to organise a meeting there. I love that city.

I travelled there last October (koalie.net album (70 photos) and flickr set (11 photos)) to look for venues. We estimated an attendance of 130 people; we had 129 ;)

See also the flickr set (24 photos).

Assuredly with that many arms, this was probably a multitasking divinity

Reflection of myself behind the Deacon. This is the plaque outside Deacon Brodie's on the Royal Mile.

Deacon, me

Window at the restaurant Jackson's. So this was a peculiar moment. It was maybe an hour after the meeting I had organised was over. I was restless. It took me a little while before I could sit still, tune in to the company and enjoy the dinner at Jackson's on the Royal Mile.

Taking off

The aircraft took off from London Stansted and below us is a field of clouds and below them are fields of crop and below them...

I don't know where that one was headed but it was in a hurry, I almost was too late to have it in the picture.

Let's race!

More crop, more clouds, more sky. I love to fly over identifiable things.

About to land in Nice. The sun has almost set and we see the lights from Cannes below.
